About Our Statistics Calculators
Whether you’re a student working through statistics homework, a researcher analyzing experimental data, or a data professional making business decisions, our free statistics calculators are designed to help you work faster and more accurately.
Each calculator provides step-by-step explanations so you can understand the methodology behind the calculations. From basic descriptive statistics like mean and standard deviation to advanced hypothesis testing with t-tests and chi-square analysis, we’ve got you covered.
All calculators are 100% free, require no sign-up, and work directly in your browser. Your data stays on your device ā we never store or transmit your calculations.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a p-value and when do I use it?
A p-value is the probability of obtaining results at least as extreme as your observed results, assuming the null hypothesis is true. Use it in hypothesis testing to determine if your results are statistically significant.
What’s the difference between population and sample standard deviation?
Population standard deviation (Ļ) is used when you have data for an entire population. Sample standard deviation (s) is used when you have a sample from a larger population.
When should I use a t-test vs. a z-test?
Use a z-test when you know the population standard deviation and have a large sample (n > 30). Use a t-test when you don’t know the population standard deviation or have a small sample size.
Are these calculators accurate for academic use?
Yes! Our calculators use standard statistical formulas and are suitable for academic work, research, and professional use.
